A morning without coffee is like sleep. And Starbucks says a cup of coffee is a miracle. With the endorsement of ethical trade and responsible growing of coffee beans, the company is now gaining customer’s awareness on good business practice it is practicing. With this the company leaves its competitors way back by promoting that it does good and its coffee tastes good. How can such a thing be achieved?

The glowing reputation of the coffe and beverage specializing company dated back from the year of 1971. Starbucks coffee began selling sells drip brewed coffee, espresso-based hot drinks, coffee beans, salads, sandwiches, pastry, snacks, and items such as mugs and tumblers. It also then diversified business to marketing books, music and films. Recently the company focused on exercising policies in corporate social responsibility that has the main idea of doing coffe business in an ethical way where all business processes are held responsibly, meaning that the coffees are from real good farmers, procured fairly and processed in the most decent way before brought into customers’ hands.

Being known as the provider of famous coffees, Starbucks has achieved far more than it has ever achieved. It conducts business in the ways which balanced sustainability of social, environmental and economic benefits are kept for the people in which Starbucks does business. To do well and to do good at the same time are claimed to be possible.

Coffee is very popular for its typical aroma. Behind its bitter taste, lie many benefits that bring good for health and spirit. One thing is sure; drinking it too much should not be suggested since caffeine will do bad for a long term effect.

Warm your day with coffee. A cup of coffee in the morning prevents you from sleepiness and laziness of starting the day. Another cup at night after a long busy schedule at the office will kick energy back and provide extra energy to stream the night. Try Latté, Mocha, Espresso, and Mocha. Recommending Espresso, in which Espresso coffee bean is roasted to some degree and changes darker to dark brown bean, it will present the taste of acid fading away, replaced by a bitter-sweetness flavor.

All coffee lovers can never agree more. A cup of hot coffee can be as tempting as enjoying hustle and bustle of the day without misery.

Caffein at TonysSeafoodCafeCaffeine, like chocolate, often receives bad publicity. Whilst in some instances, and in excess, these can have negative effects on our body, they can also be quite beneficial.
I am not disputing that some people are more sensitive to the negative effects of either caffeine or chocolate. For example, excess caffeine can create anxiety, nausea (particularly if taken on an empty stomach), an increase in heart rate, and even depression in some people. And chocolate is certainly not something that should form the mainstay of one’s diet. If struggling with sugar addiction, or wanting to lose weight, there are more nutritionally complete foods that are available.

But scientists have turned up some interesting facts on caffeine. For example, caffeine actually blocks the effects of a neurotransmitter in the brain (adenosine) that otherwise makes us feel tired. This is why it works so well to keep us awake. It also encourages the release of another brain chemical, dopamine (as well as adrenaline). Dopamine contributes to a feeling of well being.

Two studies, one a population based study (which are not as specific or rigorously defined as other types of studies, but nonetheless valuable indicators) found that drinking caffeine containing drinks like coffee and tea had a protective effect for those at risk of developing liver disease. Issues that the study participants had that increased their risk of liver disease included alcoholism, hepatitis B or C, obesity, or other complications. Read the rest of this entry »

Great Coffee at TonysSeafoodCafeToday, I will propose to you how to make a great cup of coffee. You can do it. There are a few secrets to the process. I will share these with you.

Start with the bean and pick your roast. Quality coffee can only come from a quality coffee bean that is properly roasted. The process of roasting a coffee bean is complex and can result in a given bean tasting very different depending on how it is roasted. If you desire a strong intense flavor to your coffee, choose a dark roast (ex: French Roast). If you like to a light flavor, less intense, choose a lighter roast.

Never use pre-ground coffee. Pre-ground coffee will lose its flavor and essence within a short period of time. Grinding before you brew will assure you that no flavor is lost due to time.

Always use cold filtered water when brewing your coffee. The water you use represents 98% of your cup of coffee. Filtering the water will remove impurities that could affect the taste. Poor quality water can come from a variety of sources. Example, older house will have older pipes. Theses pipes tend to give the water an off flavor. You will want to remove this by filtering. The basic rule is the better the water, the better the coffee. Read the rest of this entry »
